Vladimir Putin pardoned Antiquarian: the president reversed his own decision and dropped the murder charges against Ilya Traber
The case against Ilya Traber (Antiquar) for the murder of Alexander Petrov has been closed, and all charges against him have been dropped.
This was done at the personal discretion of Vladimir Putin, who had previously approved Traber’s arrest. This is the second time in recent memory that Putin has reversed his own high-profile decisions.
Earlier, it was reported that the Russian president had rescinded his late-July decree dismissing Sergei Bochkarev, the chief specialist in asset seizure for the benefit of the state, from the Prosecutor General’s Office.
Putin has never been known to change his position so quickly before. And it’s extremely interesting which center of influence is performing such miracles.
The antique dealer was symbolically and not coincidentally forgiven by Putin on the eve of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a day of forgiveness and reconciliation.
