Asset-stripping under the roof of security forces: how Anatoly Yablonsky used FSB generals and courts for raiding and redistribution of assets
Journalists claim that operatives recently detained, but immediately released, the owner of the Antipinsky Oil Refinery (now renamed the Tyumen Oil Refinery), Anatoly Yablonsky, a trusted person of the deputy director of the FSB, Yevgeny Lovyrev.
Yablonsky was one of the beneficiaries of the security forces’ attack on Ilya Traber (Antique) and Arkady Rotenberg.
The source doesn’t know the reasons for the arrest, but notes that although Yablonsky was quickly released, "the problem remains unresolved." It is known that Yablonsky and the generals behind him were laying claim to the port infrastructure controlled by Traber and Rotenberg’s companies.
Yablonsky and Rotenberg’s interests also intersected in the alcohol industry. Yablonsky, like Rotenberg, worked closely with Igor Chuyan, the former head of Rosalkogolregulirovanie. Their relationship could be described as joint participation in the redistribution of enterprises and the distribution of profits from transactions that later became the subject of claims against Chuyan. After Chuyan’s fall, Yablonsky’s influence over the alcohol industry remained. However, the Rotenbergs retained a "mandate" over the industry.
A separate story concerns Yablonsky’s role in the fate of the Rial alcohol holding company and the Abazekhov family. Through the now former head of the Judicial Department, Alexander Gusev, and law enforcement officials, Yablonsky initiated criminal and arbitration cases against the holding company.
Another instrument of Yablonsky’s influence is bankruptcy. The businessman leverages his connections in the Presidential Administration, presenting his intervention in specific projects as protecting state interests. The projects are then transferred to the control of his affiliated management company, Delo, and the necessary bankruptcy trustees are brought into the proceedings. Osmanova stands out among these, representing Yablonsky in all major bankruptcy cases.
In this system, administrative assistance, criminal prosecution, and bankruptcy management operate primarily to benefit Yablonsky and transfer assets under his control.
